Our Cats

Cats!
Can't live with 'em.

[photo] It is a well-known fact that cats can control gravity. Here, Phobos, Deimos, and Chort practice making Diana heavy. The fact that Diana is wearing a pair of clip-on cat ears indicates that she is a willing participant in the exercise.

Dennis Griesser invites you to meet our precious fur family... In loving memory... Honorable mention...
Meet our darling fur family...

Athena

[photo] Athena watches "The Nature Channel" outside. Today's special feature is a succulent bird.

Athena is one of Momcat's kids.

Bigfoot

[photo] Bigfoot relaxes.

Bigfoot was a neighborhood stray who participated in our Trap Neuter Release program.

Dennis adopted Bigfoot in September 2006 to remedy The Great Cat Shortage Of '06 after Diana got custody of Phobos and Deimos.

Deimos

[photo] Deimos takes a relaxing soak in her heated spa, not to be confused with the whirlpool bath located in the bathroom.

Diana got custody of Phobos and Deimos, but Dennis visits them occasionally.

Phobos

[photo] Phobos is our world-champion cuddle-cat. We figure she's so affectionate because there's so much of her to love!

Diana got custody of Phobos and Deimos, but Dennis visits them occasionally.

Amber

We are looking for some pictures of
Amber.

Chip

We are looking for some pictures of Chip.

Chort

[photo] Chort is our "new" cat. Well, new to us. He came to us at the age of 19 years.

Chairman Meow

[photo] Chairman Meow wasn't one of "our" cats, but a neighborhood stray.

Grimalkin

[photo] We don't know whether or not Grimalkin is a son of Momcat but wouldn't be surprised.

Most of the time, Grimalkin gets along well with Bandit, although they occasionally have territorial disputes.

Grimalkin died of mange, which helped ignite Dennis's campaign against this disease.

Pumpkin

[photo] Pumpkin is a neighborhood stray. Originally, she belonged to people who lived across the street. But they moved away and abandoned her.

Dennis has a soft spot for cats, and this kind of treatment angers him. He makes sure that Pumpkin gets fed twice a day, but it would be better if she had people of her own to love her all the time.

Bandit

[photo] Bandit doesn't really belong to us. In theory, he belongs to the neighbors next door.

We believe that Bandit is the son of Momcat, which makes him half-brother to Athena and Chairman Meow.

Bandit had a terrible run-in with mange, but Dennis saved him.

Honorable mention goes to the neighborhood strays...

Momcat

The Momcat is a neighborhood stray who had kittens in the garage of some people down the street. They adopted her and had her fixed.

Don't expect pictures of Momcat any time soon; she is very shy.

Her kids include: Bandit, Athena and Chairman Meow.

Callie

Callie was a neighborhood stray who participated in our Trap Neuter Release program in July 2006.

She still hangs around the neighborhood and often partakes of the food that Dennis puts out.

Baby Buddha

Baby Buddha was a neighborhood stray who participated in our Trap Neuter Release program in July 2006.

She still hangs around the neighborhood and often partakes of the food that Dennis puts out.

Paloma

Paloma belonged to neighbor Santos Torres until he passed away. Now, one of his sons lives there, with his own pets.

I suppose that Paloma is technically "abandoned", if you think of the death of a pet owner that way.

The younger Mr. Torres keeps food out all the time, and Paloma is accustomed to eating there. But she gets little human contact and is essentially feral.

Dennis has been offering Paloma occasional food since the spring of 2008, and as of October, can actually pet her a little.
